On August 26th at McLain’s Family Steak House in DeFuniak Springs the Rotary Club of Defuniak Springs welcomed Walton Education Foundation (WEF) Executive Director, MH Carr and Take Stock in Children (TSIC) Program Provider, Michelle Carmical. Walton TSIC alumnus, Ashanti Hill, gave a touching testimonial about the positive experiences she had as a Take Stock In Children student and how the program helped her reach her goal. Ashanti shared that without Walton’s Take Stock in Children program she would not have been able to attend college and it helped motivate her to achieve higher grades in High School.
Michelle Carmical encouraged Rotary Club members to become mentors for Walton’s TSIC program.
